In early 2023, LEVEL Legal Services officially joined the Mining Advisory Council, a non-profit international organization with more than 20 years of history of uniting representatives of the mining sector in Russia and near and far abroad.
Anatoliy Andriyash, Partner, Head of the Energy and Natural Resources Practice at LEVEL Legal Services, is a member of the Board of Directors and Co-Chair of the Mining Advisory Council's Legislative Working Group, having previously served on the organization's governing body since its founding in 1999.

The Mining Advisory Council is a platform for interaction between managers of the mining sector and companies interested in the development of this industry with representatives of relevant ministries and agencies. The Council discusses the most important and significant for the Russian mining business community legislative initiatives that directly affect the licensing and operating activities of mining companies.
One of the Council's important tasks is to facilitate investment access to mining projects in Russia, including by informing potential investors about the general investment situation in the mining sector.
The Mining Advisory Council was established in Toronto on June 3, 1999 and has held 73 meetings to date. Members include mining companies, including gold producers, geoinformation and engineering companies, equipment suppliers and manufacturers, service companies and law firms, foreign commercial missions and associations, Russian associations and associations of precious metal producers and miners.
